The summer’s finally here, the Olympics is in full swing and the countries well and truly in the party mood! To celebrate we’re giving you the chance to Party In The Paddock with Jessie J at Newbury Racecourse on Saturday the 18th of August!
Party In The Paddock is an amazing day of top quality horse racing and entertaiment. Gates open at 11am, with the first race starting at 1.25pm before Jessie J rocks the crowd at 5pm with her hits including ‘Do It Like A Dude’, ‘Price Tag’ and ‘Domino’.
Welcome to our weekly review of what’s coming up this week. There’s a few suggestions below of some awesome last minute tickets that you really should think about getting your hands on before it’s two late and we’ll finish off with a look at tickets we’ll have on sale this Friday at 9am.
Firstly…The series of racecourse events we have tickets for is continuing unabated as this Thursday (2nd August) there’s the chance to see the awe-inspiring Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Epsom live plus on Friday (3rd August) Newmarket Nights is headlined by the always brilliant Van Morrison. Both events are an amazing way to spend a summer evening with the opportunity to see top quality horse racing and live entertainment.

Also coming up this week is the excellent Northern Irish punk band Stiff Little Fingers at The Trivoli on Friday (3rd August) and the Red Hot Chili Pipers at the Picturedome in Holmfirth on Saturday night (4th).

Blur have announced that a very limited number of extra tickets for their Hyde Park warm up shows in Wolverhampton will go on sale via Eventim at 9am on Friday the 26th of July.
The mini warm up tour, which takes in Plymouth and Margate as well as two Wolverhampton shows, is an amazing chance to see the Britpop legends in intimate surroundings ahead of their sold out return to Hyde Park on the 12th of August.
The band will play the Wolverhampton Civic Hall on 5th and 6th of August.

The collective of African and Western musicians known as the Africa Express will be heading to the UK in September to play a very special show at Granary Square on the 8th of September.
The full Africa Express line up is yet to be announced, but you can expect to see the likes of Amadou & Mariam, Damon Albarn, Rokia Traore, Kano, Baloji, Charli XCX, Fatoumata Diarawa, Noisettes, Jupiter & Okwess International and Jack Steadman from Bombay Bicycle Club along with many others. Africa Express tickets are priced from £20.
As with every Africa Express happening, the event will be unrehearsed, unapologetic and unmissable!

Shock-rocker Marilyn Manson has teamed up with Rob Zombie to create the most exciting rock tour of 2012, the aptly titled ‘Twins Of Evil’. The co-headline tour will take in 3 of the biggest arenas in England in November. Hitting our shores on the 26th the tour stops at London’s O2 Arena, the Manchester Arena (27th), and the Birmingham NIA (29th).
Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson tickets are sure to fly when they go on sale at 9am on Friday the 27th of July. You can sign up to the Eventim Ticket Alarm here to be notified as soon as tickets go on sale.
“Finally! Why did the most obvious tour take so long to happen? Who knows? Who cares? It’s happening now,” stated Zombie. “If good taste is the chief enemy of great art, then we should be able to fill the Louvre with this fucking tour. Be prepared for something wicked this way a-coming.”

Three more artists have been added to The Sunflower Jam 2012 bill. Joining an already star-studded line up consisting of Bruce Dickinson, Alfie Boe and Ian Paice at the Royal Albert Hall event will be founding member of Led Zeppelin, John Paul Jones plus Brian May and Kerry Ellis, who will be performing together on stage.
The Sunflower Jam takes place at the Royal Albert Hall on the 16th of September 2012. It is held in aid of awareness for the advancement of public health for the use of holistic medicine, treatment and therapy.
The ‘Mad Axeman’ Michael Schenker is returng to the UK in April 2013. The ‘Temple Of Rock’ April 2013 tour will take in 12 UK cities beginning at the ARC in Stockon-on-Tees on the 9th and ending at the Norwich Waterfront on the 21st. Tickets for all dates are on sale now on Eventim UK!
Boasting Ex-Scorpions stars Herman Rarebell (drums) and Francis Buchholz (bass), MSG stalwart Wayne Findlay (keyboards) and Scottish vocalist Doogie White (ex Rainbow, Yngwie Malmsteen), the Temple Of Rock concerts will feature plenty of hits spanning Michael Schenker’s career with The Scorpions, UFO and MSG.
Songs to be performed by the ‘Temple of Rock’ include UFO’s Rock Bottom and Doctor Doctor, MSG’s Armed and Ready and Into The Arena, and the Scorpions classics Another Piece of Meat and Rock You like a Hurricane. In addition, Schenker will perform brand new songs from the recently released Temple of Rock album including the Planet Rock radio favourite Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead.
Michael Schenker ‘Temple Of Rock’ support acts are yet to be announced.
