Whoever said that ‘rock is dead’ was left quivering and afraid somewhere in a distant cave after Queens of the Stone blew the competition out of the water with the best rock record of the year, …Like Clockwork.
5. Carl Froch
Carl Froch’s redemption was completed in May at the 02 Arena in London, as he triumphed in a thrilling world super-middleweight unification against his nemesis Mikkel Kessler.
Following on from the surprise release of their first new material in 9 years the 80’s alt-rock icons Pixies have announce a huge world tour complete with a new line-up after the departure of bassist Kim Deal.
