Some of the country’s best loved comedians are coming together on 11th November to help raise funds for ActionAid and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).
Keeping the audience entertained will also be host of Mock The Week, Dara O’Briain, Russell Howard of the hit BBC show Russell Howard’s Good News and Bad Education’s Jack Whitehall, with others due to be added to the bill!
While the night is obviously going to be a funny one, it’s all for a great cause, with all proceeds being split between both charities.
ActionAid has worked with Syrian refugees in Jordan and Lebanon since 2013 and has helped over 90,000 people in the region by providing them with clothing, hygiene items and first aid kits as well as offering long term support within local communities.
UNHCR protects almost 60 million people across the globe who have been forced from their homes, distributing more than 32,000 sleeping mats, 7,000 sleeping bags and 60,000 bottles of water during the first month of the refugee crisis in Europe.
Speaking ahead of the show, Greg Davies said: “I’m really excited to be able to introduce such an incredible live bill of comedy in aid of such an important cause. I think it’s already a stellar line up and there will be other exciting additions in the near future. I might raffle a giant teddy* or something too. *Haven’t got one yet.”
