DC Exhibition: Dawn Of Super Heroes

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s the DC Exhibition: Dawn Of Super Heroes at The O2!

From the birth of the world’s first ever superhero, to the time they made you believe a man could fly, this spectacular event celebrates eighty years of DC Comics. It features over 200 original comic pages, 45 original costumes, with models, props and concept artwork used to create generations of incredible films.

Leaping through Metropolis, Gotham and Paradise Island, Dawn of Super Heroes showcases inspirational pages from some of the first appearances of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. As well as iconic costumes worn by Michael Keaton’s Batman, Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman and the Christopher Reeve’s Superman.

But where would DC’s heroes be without their incredible rogues’ gallery?  The exhibition boasts elaborate and colourful costumes worn by Arnold Schwarzenegger (Mister Freeze), Jim Carey (The Riddler) and Tommy Lee Jones (Two-Face), as well as fan-favourite Jokers, Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger.

The rich history of DC Comics line the walls of The O2, with breathtaking original artwork from Neal Adams, Jim Lee, Batman co-creator Bob Kane, and countless others. Dawn of Super Heroes will show you the evolution, from original comic pages to the concept art it has inspired, and finally the props and costumes used in DC’s blockbuster films Suicide Squad (2016) and Justice League (2017).
