The 55th Grammy Awards took place last night in L.A., celebrating the best in all-walks of music from contemporary to classical and everything in between. As usual, the star-studded show was filled with appearances and live performances from some of the biggest names in music, many of whom are set to play tour the UK this year…
Now completely cemented as music royalty, Beyoncé picked up the Best Traditional R&B Performance Grammy for ‘Love On Top’. The award comes a week after her incredible Super Bowl halftime performance and follows the announcement of her ‘Mrs. Carter World Tour’, featuring a date at the incredible Manchester Arena.
Tickets for this Manchester show go on sale 09:30 Saturday 23rd February. Don’t miss out – click here to sign up for an Eventim TicketAlarm and we’ll send you a reminder when tickets go on sale.
Beyoncé‘s baby sister, Solange was pictured at the ceremony, next to a rather unimpressed-looking Jay-Z! A unique and talented pop singer in her own right, there’s no doubt she has everything in place to follow in her sister’s footsteps.

Another superstar in the world of pop music, Rihanna, performed a number of times at the Grammys and, although she did not come away with an award this year, her live show is always breath-taking.
Elton John played alongside Ed Sheeran last night, as the duo performed a rendition of ‘A-Team’. Alongside the success of Mumford and Sons and Adele, who picked up Best Album and Best Pop Solo performance for her live version of ‘Set Fire to the Rain’, respectively the two represented a good night for British music. Sir Elton returned later to perform in another all-star collaboration, paying tribute to the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings in December.

Another star of the Super Bowl, Alicia Keys, blew the crowd away with her typically brilliant vocal last night (despite some finding her attire slightly more worthy of comment…).
