We’ve got two rather excellent charity events at the Hammersmith Apollo going on sale this week. Tickets for one of them, Marcus Brigstocke’s Street Child Sierra Leone fundraiser, are already available in fact. The other, the wonderfully titled Laugh Or The Polar Bear Gets It, you can buy tickets for from 10am tomorrow morning (14th September). There’s also a couple of extremely interesting gigs/festivals that went on sale earlier in the year that have had a slight boost in the form of a superstar rocker or two since we last wrote about them. So…here’s the details…
Laugh Or The Polar Bear Gets It, held at the Hammersmith Apollo in aid of Friends Of The Earth is a very special night of music and comedy, which this year boasts Stewart Lee, Ed Byrne, Dan Antopolski, Francesca Martinez providing the laughs with music from special guest BeardyMan and more to be announced.
Another essential show at the Hammersmith Apollo is Marcus Brigstocke’s winter hamper of delights in aid of Street Child Sierra Leone. The spectacular line up includes Sean Walsh, Shappi Khorsandi, Milton Jones, Phill Jupitus and Robin Ince. There’s music from KT Tunstall and loads more to be announced! Here’s the link for tickets and details.
The Sunflower Jam announced this week that Alice Cooper will join a bill that already includes Brian May and Kerry Ellis, Bruce Dickinson, Ian Paice, Alfie Boe, John Paul Jones and more on what promises to be an unforgetable night. Want to find out more? Simply click here.
Last but by no means least is the inaugural Tonic Music Festival. An exciting addition to the festival calendar with the aim of promoting and raising awareness about mental health. Catch the likes of Bluetones frontman Mark Morriss, Mike Joyce of The Smiths and a host of brilliant south coast bands.
