Best of the Fest – Top 6
GlobalGathering is the UK’s most cutting edge and forward thinking electronic music festival.
More than any other electronic music festival GlobalGathering combines awe-inspiring music with a super-honed and slick production operation, bringing experience and innovations from the international festival circuit to the UK, for a truly unique festival experience.
This year there are DJ sets from Annie Mac, Sub Focus, Wiley, Jaguar Skills, 2ManyDJs; live performances from Plan B, Rita Ora and Katy B and so much more. Plus hot tubs. Ridiculous!
Not just a festival, but a holiday as well.
With one of the stand out line-ups this festival season – Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, Queens of the Stone Age, Primal Scream to name a few – Benicassim already looks pretty tasty. Throw into that mix a hell of a lot of Spanish sun, a beach, and up to 8 days camping; Benicassim promises to be the perfect antidote to a dreary muddy field in the British countryside – just remember to take some sun cream!
British Summer Time
Not really into camping? How about British Summer Time Hyde Park, the ground breaking new summer concert series running from Friday 5th July – Sunday 14th July 2013.
Six ticketed live music events will take place on the Great Oak stage over back-to-back weekends, plus smaller, more intimate events like an open air cinema and stand-up comedy performances. Hyde Park will be transformed into four themed areas with their own specially designed installations and entertainment.
Bloodstock Open Air
Maybe your music taste is a little heavier? Then how about a three day, full-on metal extravaganza held in the grounds of Catton Hall, Walton-on-Trent, Derbyshire.
Now boasting the best part of 100 bands across four stages, showcasing the best in metal from the UK underground to top international acts, along with comedy, karaoke, a mini fairground, the Serpents Lair VIP bar (a fest within a fest, for ale, cider and perry drinkers!) and more, all wrapped up within the camaraderie and atmosphere that truly sets it apart from the rest and there you have it – Bloodstock Open Air!
Alton Towers Live
Who wants to stay in a muddy tent when you can take a rip-roaring rollercoaster ride?
Alton Towers Live will feature Olly Murs, Rizzle Kicks, Labrinth, Little Mix, James Arthur, Conor Maynard, Stooshe, Union J and The Vamps as they all take to the stage in the massive concert to be held on Saturday 6th July at the UK’s favourite theme park.
Offering guests the chance to escape for a great day of family fun and adrenalin-pumping rides, such as The Smiler, Nemesis and Oblivion followed by a spectacular pop music feast – what more could you want!?.
Yahoo! Wireless Festival is the UK’s number one R&B festival and the destination of the summer. The dazzling open-air, live music experience offers a chance to watch the best in popular music in one of London’s most iconic sites – Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
With some of the biggest names in music confirmed – Justin Timberlake, Jay Z, Emeli Sande, Snoop Dogg – Yahoo! Wireless Festival 2013 is set to be one of the biggest and best festivals of the British summer’s musical calendar.
