Jay Park is a Korean-American singer born in Seattle, Washington. He is a member of the b-boy group AOM (Art of Movement) and was also a member of a Korean idol group 2PM from 2008-2009 as the charismatic leader.
Last year he proved his international popularity once again as his Korea concert sold out within 10 minutes and his digital album “I like to party” came in the Top 10 digital charts all over the world, including US, UK, Germany, France, The Netherlands and many more.
Having grown up listening to music of American artists, he admits his music sounds more “American” than K-Pop, saying it is the style of music he wants to make, while still being recognized as K-Pop.
He debuted on the M.net program ‘Hot Blood Men’ and received a lot of attention with his boyish good looks. He acquired a large fan base during his days in 2PM by featuring on various TV programs and gained huge popularity across Asia.
Jay Park will be supported by Korean male group Victor.
