Speaking ahead of his highly anticipated Marching On Together fight against Joel Brunker this September, Featherweight boxer Josh Warrington has said that his Australian rival is the “perfect opponent”.
The 24 year old Leeds sportsman will be defending his current Commonwealth Featherweight title in his hometown at the first direct arena on September 5th, with the novelty of it being on his home turf no doubt adding to the thrill and atmosphere of the event.
Warrington is already gearing up to the big day, saying that he has “got such a buzz in training” although he also acknowledges that it will be no easy ride as 29 year old Brunker will “make it difficult”.
Those attending the first direct arena will also see Gavin McDonnell and Jeremy Parodi appear alongside Scotty Cardle, who will be defending his British Lightweight title for the first time in what McDonnell described as his “toughest fight of his career so far”.
Andy Townend will also be going face-to-face with Lee Glover to defend his English Super Featherweight title in what is sure to be one of the biggest nights in boxing this year.
