The Kaiser Chiefs and Kodaline are the first acts announced for a brand new major fundraising event on Sunday 11 September on the day of the Great North Run.
The Run, Rock n Raise, ‘make every note count’ concert is in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust, Nordoff Robbins and the Graham Wylie Foundation and we’re very excited to announce that Kaiser Chiefs and Kodaline will be performing at the event which takes place at the Metro Radio Arena.
Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson will also be starting the run and taking part in it for the first time.
Speaking ahead of the announcement, Wilson said: “We can’t wait to come up to Newcastle to support such deserving causes. The North East is always a special place to perform, the crowd is always amazing and it’s impossible not to feel energised when the audience is so fantastic, even if you have just run half a marathon.”
Run, Rock n Raise tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 3 June. Find yours here.
