Pop queen Lady Gaga is to play Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena for the first time in nearly five years.
Her artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball will end its UK run with a gig at the Metro Radio Arena on 22 November, with tickets on sale from 9am this Friday.
The last time Lady Gaga played the Metro Radio Arena was in March 2010 as part of her Monsters Ball, which holds the record as the biggest production to ever hit the venue. Her first ever gig at the Arena was actually as support to the Pussycat Dolls, the previous year.
Lady Gaga tickets are on sale from 9.00am Friday 16 May 2014.
Her entourage included 30 articulated trucks and 10 buses and this time around the stage for The ARTPOP Ball has been uniquely designed to bring Lady Gaga even closer to her fans, no matter where they are seated.
Runways made of translucent material reach out into the audience from the main stage, connecting to several other smaller stages. Fans will be able to walk and dance under the runways, creating a whole new vantage point from which to experience the show.
