Alex Boardman

Alex Boardman is probably the best comedian you’ve not heard of – yet. Few comics have written for shows as diverse as Lily Savage to Question of Sport, and for Ali G to Ricky Gervais. Plus at the same time picked up both BAFTA nomination and a Sony Radio award.

A lightening quick ad libber with a charming and natural ease, his unique brand of “flattery and abuse” proves ever-popular with audiences, and although often dancing deliciously close to the boundaries of what is considered PC to say in public, the lack of malice and warmth to his approach means that everyone feels they’re in on the joke.

Fin Taylor

Genial white-haired Irishman Caimh McDonnell is widely regarded as one of the UK comedy circuit’s most amiable and friendly acts as well as one of the best.

Caimh McDonnell

A uniquely charming youngster with a winning and laugh inducing appeal who, at the age of just 23, has gigged internationally and warmed up for TV shows such as Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC2) and BBC1’s Pointless.

Mark Maier

Mark Maier is richly talented and multi award winning writer and stand-up. He’s a highly sought after performer on both the national and international comedy circuits appearing in Germany, Holland, Ireland, Hong Kong, Bahamas, South Africa, America, Australia and New Zealand – and even in between through a series of at sea gigs on the famous QE2.

Gaining fans and plaudits for his stand-up, his writing and his broadcasting and performance work he’s a master of the ad lib and improvisation and regularly appears with the likes of Catherine Tate, Josie Lawrence, Neil Mullarkey and Paul Merton in the famous Comedy Store Players. His television appearances have been numerous including Edinburgh Nights, Live At Jongleurs, The Stand Up Show and The World Stands Up.

Jason Cook

Jason Cook is the star of and the brains behind the award-winning BBC2 sitcom “Hebburn” also starring Vic Reeves, Gina Mckee and Chris Ramsey. He’s also appeared on Dave’s one night stand and John Bishop’s new TV series, Comedy Central’s Live from the Comedy Store. So it’s a major coup for us that he’s agreed to come and perform in Southport.

Audiences should be ready for anything when he takes to the stage. Behind his cheerful Geordie exterior lurks a sharp comedic mind capable of taking an unsuspecting crowd to places they expect to go. His style is a mix of Jason has a way of presenting that drag you in with irresistible charm and regaling, edge of the seat, hilarious true life stories.

Matt Forde

Ask anyone in comedy and they’ll tell you not only is Matt Forde one of the most charismatic forces in the entertainment industry but one of the funniest too! Not only has he appeared on the following shows, he’s written for them as well: 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4), Stand Up for the Week (Channel 4) and Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC3).

All line ups are subject to change, but the organisers promise to replace any cancellations with someone twice as funny.
