Alex Boardman is probably the best comedian you’ve not heard of – yet. Few comics have written for shows as diverse as Lily Savage to Question of Sport, and for Ali G to Ricky Gervais. Plus at the same time picked up both BAFTA nomination and a Sony Radio award.
A lightening quick ad libber with a charming and natural ease, his unique brand of “flattery and abuse” proves ever-popular with audiences, and although often dancing deliciously close to the boundaries of what is considered PC to say in public, the lack of malice and warmth to his approach means that everyone feels they’re in on the joke.
Genial white-haired Irishman Caimh McDonnell is widely regarded as one of the UK comedy circuit’s most amiable and friendly acts as well as one of the best.
A uniquely charming youngster with a winning and laugh inducing appeal who, at the age of just 23, has gigged internationally and warmed up for TV shows such as Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC2) and BBC1’s Pointless.
