Metal Hammer Golden Gods pay tribute to Lemmy

The mighty Lemmy will be remembered at the Metal Hammer Golden God Awards on Monday 13 June as Saxon, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee of Motörhead join forces to play a special one-off set.

Featuring Lemmy’s favourite Saxon songs with a number of Motörhead hits, this is the ultimate Salute To Lemmy, and what better place to do so than at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith?

The venue played a massive part in Motörhead’s history, with their famous live album, ‘No Sleep ‘Til Hammersmith’ reaching number one when it was released 35 years ago in 1981.

TeamRock will be teaming up with Pinewood Live (part of the Pinewood Studio Group) to film the awards , with its Director, Billy Watson, saying: “Pinewood Live is delighted to be involved with this momentous anniversary for the Golden God Awards. Capturing the event for posterity and distributing the show around the world is a great way to celebrate Lemmy’s music and contribution to rock.”

Tickets are available to purchase exclusively through Eventim for £6.66* here. What’s more, proceeds on the night will go towards the Heavy Metal Truants, a charity founded by Metal Hammer editor-in-chief and TeamRock Executive Director Alexander Milas and Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood, who have been doing some amazing work in aid of Nordoff Robbins, Teenage Cancer Trust and Childline.
