With the rumour mill speculating that their may be a Take That 25th anniversary reunion on the cards and the fact that we all clearly love Gary Barlow, we decided to have a think about our favourite Gary Barlows…
90s Gary Barlow
Take yourself back to 1992 when a stubble-free, baby-faced Gary along with Robbie Williams, Howard Donald, Mark Owen and Jason Orange released ‘Take That & Party’. It was the beginning of something special!
Throughout the 90s Take That near enough dominated the UK charts with singles including ‘Pray’, ‘Relight My Fire’, ‘Back for Good’ and ‘Never Forget’. We won’t ever forget, Gary!
We were all heartbroken in on 13th February 1996 when Take That announced that they were disbanding (c’mon guys, the day before Valentine’s?!) but fast forward to November 2005 and it was announced that all five original members would be reuniting for The Ultimate Tour!
Their comeback single, ‘Patience’, went straight in at number one and Take That were officially back in our lives!
The X Factor Gary
In 2011 it was announced that Gary would be joining The X Factor as a new judge alongside Louis Walsh, Tulisa Contostavlos and Kelly Rowland. This basically meant that we were treated to watching Gary on our TV sets every week and got to see him pull faces like this…
Not only is Gary Barlow ridiculously talented but he’s also a lovely guy who, along with Ronan Keating, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Kimberley Walsh and five other celebs, climbed to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro to raise millions of pounds for Comic Relief and organised ‘Children in Need Rocks the Royal Albert Hall’!
Thank you Gary!
