We all know him as an award-winning comedian and star of the legendary Phoenix Nights, but next year Peter Kay will will be trying his hand at spinning the decks as he becomes DJ PK for Peter Kay’s Dance For Life in aid of Cancer Research UK!
On Saturday 6th February the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle will be transformed into one massive disco for a three-hour dance-a-thon, in what will undoubtedly be an experience to remember!
Fancy dress is optional, so make sure you dust off those neon legwarmers you’ve been keeping in the back of your wardrobe!
Speaking ahead of the dance-a-thons, which will take place in different arenas over seven Saturdays next year, Peter said: “I can’t think of a more enjoyable way to raise money for such an important charity than by people simply dancing to some of the best music of the last four decades and as a result changing lives. I do hope people will support it.”
We wonder how many participants will crack similar moves to Peter’s walking to the dance floor dance…
Peter Kay’s Dance For Live tickets go on sale at 10am on Wednesday 3rd December. Sign up here to the TicketAlarm to be alerted!
