5 reasons why Babymetal are our guilty pleasure

When the news broke that Red Hot Chili Peppers were going to be embarking on a UK tour including two dates at Manchester Arena, it’s safe to say we were very excited. Throw into the mix the fact that Babymetal are going to be joining them and, well, we were literally buzzing!

While they only released their first album in 2014, they’ve become one of the biggest names in the metal world, so here are 6 reasons why Babymetal are our guilty pleasure…

They’re the ultimate Girl Power
Babymetal are three kids with a heap load of attitude who have taken the world by storm over the past couple of years. While people either love them or hate them and they’ve divided opinion in the metal world, they don’t care.

Their music rocks
Babymetal have released two studio albums to date with the most recent, ‘metal Resistance’, reaching number 2 in the UK Rock charts! We especially love ‘Gimme Chocolate’ which touches upon the pressures young girls feel about staying thin.

Tutus, mesh outfits and fox masks, what’s not to love?

Celebs love them too
They have a massive celebrity following including Lady Gaga (who asked the girls to join her ArtRave Tour), Slipknot and Ariana Grande!

They put on one hell of a show

Babymetal’s live performances are INSANE. Whether you’re in a small venue, arena or stadium they never disappoint and there’s nothing quite like seeing 10,000 metal fans moshing in unison. Trust us we’ve been there.
