To help cure those post-summer blues we’ve curated this Theatre Guide – because you’ll need something to fill those dark evenings. This month we think you should try something different, so we’ve selected the shows that are unlike anything you’ve seen before!

Derren Brown Underground – Playhouse Theatre

Join Derren Brown for an evening of spell-binding magical genius and epic showmanship. The show will bring together a collection of the very best of his previous stage work. The multi-award winning master of mind-control and psychological illusionist hits the West End, but for just 35 performances.

The Great Gatsby – Secret Location

Take a break from your ordinary life and jump into a heart-racing immersive adaptation of F Scott Fitzgerald’s novel. This unique theatrical performance requires you to slip on your dancing shoes and watch the story unfold around you. With cocktails flowing, music playing – and the party in full swing – there will be scandal.

1920’s dress encouraged, dancing shoes required.

Faulty Towers The Dining Experience – Kingsway Hall Hotel

Spend an evening with Torquay’s most inept hoteliers – Basil, Sybil and Manuel – in this immersive dining experience, inspired by one of the greatest comedy series of all time. You’ll be the diner in this 2 hour interactive production – getting caught up in their madcap melee even as you dig into your 3-course meal.

The Pink Floyd Exhibition: Their Mortal Remains – V&A

This one’s for both Pink Floyd and music fans – The Pink Floyd Exhibition: Their Mortal Remains – the first international retrospective takes you on an unprecedented, innovative and multi-sensory journey through their extraordinary worlds. Produced with involvement from the three surviving members, chronicling the music, design and staging of the band, from their debut to present day.

Showstopper! The Improvised Musical – Lyric Theatre

Don’t miss this exclusive experience, the Showstoppers! are back. The Olivier Award winners return to the West End for one show a month. They’ll be transforming audience suggestions into all-singing, all-dancing shows with unpredictable and hilarious results. Every Showstopper! performance is a hit musical waiting to happen.

Briefs Close Encounters – The Spiegeltent

Join the Briefs boys for a sparkling mix of circus, drag, burlesque and comedy. The boys have already glitter-bombed the globe and are now ready to explore the third dimension. Expect interstellar aerials, incredible artistry, and warped speed strippers from outer space. Prepare yourselves for a close encounter.
