AEG Live and The Royal Parks have announced Sir Tom Jones leading a day for all the family this Summer 2014, at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park.

Fresh from the latest hit series of the BBC’s The Voice, Sir Tom Jones headlines. Tom is one of Britain’s finest ever vocalists, with an illustrious history, stretching way back to the 1960s.

From the day he crashed on to the scene with his first smash hit ‘It’s Not Unusual’, it was clear that one of the all time great singers had arrived. Still in a class all of his own, he has stayed contemporary by collaborating with a succession of new artists that see him as a true musical hero, from Cerys Matthews, to The Stereophonics. Recent album ‘Spirit In The Room’ was produced by Kings of Leon’s man Ethan Johns.

Well used to Royal surroundings, he became Sir Tom for services to music in 2006 and with hits like ‘Green Grass Of Home’, ‘Kiss’ and ‘Delilah’, he has songs that have lasted generations.

”I love playing in Hyde Park, it’s such a beautiful place and some of the greats have played there. There is a real sense of musical history and a fantastic atmosphere that comes with a London summer. And it’s a Royal Park, so it is a great excuse to remind everyone that I am a Knight of the Realm!”

Boyzone will return to the stage to perform their biggest hits. With 20 UK top 40 singles, 6 UK Number 1s and 5 Number 1 albums, along with 4 Brit Awards and an Ivor Novello for Best Contemporary Song, Ronan, Mikey, Shane and Keith are one of Ireland’s most successful exports and best-loved bands.

“There’s no bigger gig than Hyde Park and no better day out than playing British Summer Time. Our fans are all ages and this is a great way to get them all together and, of course, play alongside the great Sir Tom Jones. We will definitely be sticking around to watch the master at work.”

Little Mix are the biggest girl band in the world right now and take to the Great Oak Stage after dominating the pop charts since winning X Factor in 2011; the first group ever to win the show.

They have gone on to bag 2 UK Number 1 singles with ‘Cannonball’ and ‘Wings’ and sell 4 million singles worldwide.

“Wow, Hyde Park – so many amazing artists have played there and to be on a line up with Sir Tom Jones is a true honour. We can’t wait to see all The Mixers in the summer sun. And it’s Perrie’s 21st birthday a few days before, so we will be celebrating in style.”

British Summer Time tickets are available on Tickets for Sunday 13 July will be availabel from 9.00am Friday 11 April.
