Standon Calling is returning from Friday 31st July until Sunday 2nd August for its 10th year and it promises to be bigger and better than ever! While the music line up is fantastic, with the likes of Little Dragon, The Dandy Warhols, Basement Jaxx, Ella Eyre and Roots Manuva performing, Standon Calling offers so much more…
Standon Calling is the only festival to offer a heated swimming pool! Perfect for the indecisive British weather…
Previous festival themes have included Lost In Latin America and Journey To The Ends Of The Earth. This year festival-goers will have to up the ante with the theme A Town of Two Faces, which they are describing as ‘a gold-rush settlement where every sunset brings the wild and wonderful out onto the streets’ – I’m thinking cowboy hats and boots here.
The children are more than welcome here and there are so many activities available with the Family Programme that even the fussiest of children will be kept well entertained. Not only is the family camping field close to the main arena and parks, but there are trapeze lessons, pony rides, sword-making, cupcake decorating and more!
Food, Glorious Food
Standon Calling is the perfect festival for foodies to head to. Fancy some Mexican street food? Head over to the Flaming Cactus, or try Anna Mae’s Mac n Cheese. Why not join in a pizza workshop or climb aboard The Bhangra Bus! There is so much food and drink from around the world to try, we can guarantee you won’t get hungry at any point.
The Cowshed has become one of the highlights of Standon Calling – it’s the festival’s nightclub which will see DJ’s and performers, and yes it is called The Cowshed for a reason…
Sounds fun? We have just the ticket here for you.
