The Strokes will be heading to London for the first time in five years this summer as they headline Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park.
The American rock band will be taking to the Great Oak Stage on Thursday 18th June as part of the festival which will run until Sunday 28th June.
Having sold over 5 million albums with their debut ‘Is This It’ being named number five on NME’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, as well as number eight on Rolling Stone’s 100 Best Debut Albums of All Time, The Strokes have firmly positioned themselves as one of the most inspirational bands of recent years.
They will be supported by Grammy Award winner Beck who has himself enjoyed immense success since his smash hit ‘Loser’ in 1994 and even recently collaborated with Sia on ‘Moonquake Lake’.
American synthpop band Future Islands will also be joining on the 18th June following their astounding performance at last year’s BST Hyde Park.
Other headliners include Taylor Swift, The Who, Kylie Minogue and Blur, with more to be announced!
Tickets for The Strokes will be available here from Friday 6th March at 9am.
