Things you didn’t know about the Dr Who Symphonic Spectacular

The Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular is on its way and whether or not you’re a Whovian, this is what you can expect…

Musicians….LOTS of musicians…

The Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular is a musical extravaganza that celebrates some of the greatest pieces of music that the hit BBC show has featured. It is performed by over 100 musicians from the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and members of the BBC National Chorus of Wales, with star conductor Ben Foster leading them.

Plus a few monsters and Daleks…

Well, we can’t have a performance celebrating Doctor Who without a few monsters/aliens/Daleks/Cybermen making a guest appearance now, can we? These live monsters will provide you, the audience, with a dramatic contrast to the evocative and thrilling music written by Murray Gold.

Some of the most poignant sequences of the show

As the audience listens to the wonderful orchestra play, a massive screen presentation will show key moments and specially edited sequences from the past 50 years of Doctor Who.

The Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular sold out during its world premiere in Australia and will be storming the stage in Leeds on May 27th and Newcastle on May 28th. Grab your tickets here before it’s too late!
