Thursday Night Live, the series of summer events at the Serpentine Gallery Pavillion opened last night as a host of celebrities turned out to see intimate performances from the likes of Paul Zenon, The Segue Sisters and very special guest Gary Kemp.
Hosted by BBC Radio London presenter Robert Elms the events, which run until the end of August, are a chance to get up close and personal with some of biggest and best-loved names from the worlds of art and entertainment and to celebrate London life in a truly awe-inspiring venue. Future weeks include appearances from designer Paul Smith, architect Maxwell Hutchinson and writer and comedian Barry Cryer.
The Serpentine Gallery Pavillion 2012 has been designed by Herzog & de Meuron and Ai Weiwe.
