RAZORLIGHT formed back in 2002 and raided the charts with big festival anthems including number one single “America,” “Somewhere Else,” “Golden Touch” and “In the Morning” to name but a few. The band are hitting the festival circuit this summer stopping off in North Wales in July.
Feisty Brit School graduate ELLA EYRE scored a number one in 2013 as the lead vocalist on Rudimental’s raucous “Waiting All Night.” Inspired by Motown, she is already picking up plays on 1Xtra. Nominated for the Critics’ Choice at the 2014 Brit Awards. Expect big songs by a big singer saying big things.
Glasgow based FRIGHTENED RABBIT play intense, emotional guitar-rock, categorized by lead-man Hutchison’s raw vocals. The band’s popularity has soared in the last few months as their new album Pedestrian Verse hit the Top Ten and their air play went through the roof.
REDLIGHT occupy the space between house, bass and beyond. Known for dance floor tunes including ‘Stupid’ and ‘What You Talking About!? He has made the trip to Wakestock before and went down a storm.
MNEK may only be 19 but he is one of the best connected men in the UK music industry. Zane Lowe recently said of him “His star is on the rise and his talent is so evident in everything that he’s done so far.” He has credits on songs by Rudimental and Little Mix, and scored his first number one last April on Duke Dumont and AME’s club Anthem Need U (100%). MNEK’s sultry, soulful vocals recently got an outing on the Gorgon City’s house track Ready For Your Love. 2014 is going to be a big year for this guy.
THE RIFLES burst onto the UK music scene in 2006 with their attitude-laden debut “No Love Lost.” Making heavy rock ‘n’ roll inspired by the likes of The Clash, Paul Weller and The Jam, the London four-piece cite influences as far reaching as The Smiths and The Streets, their sound is heavily sixties mod yet thoroughly modern.
JESS GLYNNE is best known for featuring on Clean Bandit’s number one single “Rather Be.” She also featured on Route 94’s single “My Love” which was released just weeks later. Signed to Black Butter Records, the mystique and enigma behind the ‘girl on vocals’ has everyone waiting to hear what Jess does next. Her single “Home” gives fans a glimpse of what to expect from her this year and beyond.
