Wilson Minds excited to support heroes The Charlatans

Scala, Kings Cross

Wilson-mindsI caught up with Paul Wilkes of Wilson Minds who will be supporting The Charlatans at the St Georges Hall, Liverpool when they close the first Liverpool International Music Festival.

Q: There seems to be a lot of momentum behind the band at the moment, anything special coming up that people can look out for?

A: we just finished our debut album produced and paid for by Chris Potter (Verve, Blur, I am Kloot) now were doing a launch with it all packaged at the Zanzibar in Liverpool on October 5th for fans, friends and industry types. Then we’ll see where that goes…

Q: What does it mean to you to be playing in your home-town at such a prestigious venue? Any surprises planned?

A: great venue can’t wait for it. No surprises just going to blast you some proper rock n roll and get people nodding and jiving to our upbeat kick ass tunes. Maybe invest in a new haircut and a nice shirt. Ha ha!

Q: Finally, what do The Charlatans mean to you?

A: The Charlatans top band first live band I saw play at the old royal court in Liverpool about 10 years ago amazing night. Top tracks for me one to another or just lookin’.
